Project Overview – Whole‑home interior refresh anchored by a new master suite and modern finishes.
The homeowners had recently purchased this property and saw its potential. While the house was somewhat run down, the setting—perched above the Marsing Valley with views toward the Snake River—was exceptional. They planned to establish a vineyard and wanted the home to reflect that vision: an updated, functional space that complemented the landscape. The remodel focused on the primary suite, utility and living rooms, front door, and staircase railing, creating a practical and welcoming retreat for daily life and entertaining.
The primary bathroom needed a full redesign to fit a freestanding tub, larger walk-in shower, and private water closet. We reworked the floor plan, added a pocket door, removed bulky framing, and created a bright, open shower with a glass surround. At the staircase, the outdated railing was replaced with a new metal system that met code and updated the entry. In the utility room, removing a dividing wall and low ceiling and adding cabinetry made the space more functional and spacious. The main construction challenge was the existing flagstone patio. Installing the new steel front doors revealed a gap, so we engineered a custom powder-coated metal threshold to close it neatly, creating a clean, cohesive entry. Otherwise, construction proceeded smoothly.
The remodel stands out for its setting above the valley with panoramic views. The updated interior complements the landscape, providing a functional, comfortable space as the homeowners develop their vineyard. The primary bathroom offers a modern, spa-like feel, and overall improvements balance updated finishes with the home’s character and surroundings.
